An auto‑dialed missed call from Verizon popped up with a weird “welcome” note—saying your car can’t be completed, so double‑check the number and try again; looks shady, so block it, dude.

Ever wonder why a call from an unknown number leaves a voicemail that sounds just like your phone company? This report describes an auto-dialed call with a Verizon welcome message, but it glitches into 'your call cannot be completed as dialed'—a classic spoofing tactic used by scammers to mimic legitimate providers. It's likely a fraudulent attempt to get you to call back, potentially leading to premium lines or phishing. Block the number immediately and report it to the FCC or your carrier. Don't return calls from suspicious sources; enable spam filters on your phone to catch these. Staying vigilant prevents headaches down the line.
