A caller from +64 274 129 489 claimed an Amazon iPhone order was placed last night; I told them I never ordered anything and asked for an email to block it – what the heck, I hung up.

A fake Amazon alert pops up unexpectedly, claiming a fresh iPhone order you never made—classic bait for scammers. The caller pushed for your email after you wisely suggested they send details, a red flag for phishing your info. Hang up immediately on such unsolicited calls; real companies like Amazon notify via official apps or emails, not random numbers. Block the contact and report to authorities to shield your data. If tempted to engage, verify independently through trusted channels—don't feed their script. This tactic preys on confusion, so staying skeptical keeps you safe.
