Scrutinise any unsolicited texts about job offers, as they often mask phishing attempts. These messages from unknown numbers pretending to be recruiters like Emily from Oyster Partnership or Layla from Bristow Holland scream scam—legitimate firms don't cold-text strangers without prior contact. Block the number immediately to halt further spam. Never reply or click links; instead, verify opportunities directly on company websites. Report to your phone provider and Action Fraud to help curb these nuisances. If tempted by the promise of work, double-check via official channels to avoid handing over personal details to fraudsters.
