I received a text stating, “Hello, sorry to bother you, this is Emily, consultant at Oyster Partnership. We have a position available. Are you still looking for a job?” I haven’t searched job sites recently nor expressed interest in Oyster Partnership, so I suspect a scam and blocked the number.

Opinión del experto
Two unsolicited messages from this number masquerade as recruitment outreach, one claiming to be Emily from Oyster Partnership and the other Alice from Robert Walters, both probing for job interest without prior contact. Recipients noted inconsistencies like nonsensical job details and evasion on number sourcing, marking these as hallmarks of phishing attempts to harvest personal data. Block immediately and avoid responding to prevent further engagement. Report to Action Fraud if details emerge, and verify any genuine recruiter via official channels only—never share CVs or info unsolicited. Privacy tip: Enable spam filters on your phone and limit public profile visibility to curb such intrusions.

They messaged me claiming to be Alice, a consultant at Robert Walters, asking about job interest; the role description made no sense and they wouldn't reveal how they obtained my number, so I suspect a scam.
