Opinione dell’esperto
Earlier this week, a familiar pattern emerged: the number +1‑888‑280‑4331 is being spoofed to sound like Amazon customer service and to warn about a supposed $700‑plus purchase. Callers claim an order for an iPhone or a large charge and demand a verification code or a link to click. Amazon never initiates such requests by phone, never asks for passwords, and will not ask you to install software. If you receive a call like this, hang up immediately, verify the account status through the official Amazon app or website, and consider reporting the number to the FCC or your carrier. Blocking the number and enabling call‑screening can also reduce future nuisance.

Another instance of individuals from India posing as a legitimate business, which is frustrating and unprofessional.
The caller claimed there was a $700 charge to my Amazon account, but when I checked, there was no such charge, so this is clearly a fake number and harassment.

The caller appeared to be in a crowded, noisy environment, possibly a boiler room, speaking in Hindi before addressing me with a thick accent; it's presumed that the economic downturn in India is driving a surge in phone scams, making them more prevalent
This call has been identified as a scam attempt.
A recording claimed that a purchse was being made on my account, apparently.
