I discovered a charge of $39.95 on my account from a web payment, which was made on 7/13/2015, and another charge of the same amount was made on 6/12/2015, both of which were unauthorized. The company associated with the number 877-284-9393 could not be reached, as the phone would only ring and then direct me to a recording stating that no one was available to take my call. I had to contact my bank to report the incident and pay a fee of $15.00 to stop the payment.

Upon reviewing bank statements, a recurring charge of $39.95 was noticed, which was initially mistaken for a legitimate subscription. However, it was discovered that this was actually an unauthorized charge from a company called NRG. Attempts to rectify the situation with the bank and NRG were met with uncooperative responses, including a claim that a refund would be issued if there was no activity on the account, which seems nonsensical given that the account holder was unaware of the company's services. The bank representative suggested closing the account, but the account holder, who has had the account for 30 years, is instead choosing to monitor it more closely.
