A quick glance at the language shows a classic bait‑and‑switch tactic, where the caller pretends to be a subcontractor linked to a vague reference number. The repeated warning tone and use of all‑caps suggest a scammer trying to create urgency. Callers like this often target contractors or property owners, leveraging the confusion around subcontractor relationships. To protect yourself, verify any subcontractor through official channels, never share personal or financial details until you’ve confirmed identity, and log the call details for future reference. If the call feels off, hang up and report the number to your telecom provider.
