Ever wonder why that silent, periodic ring keeps showing up? A recurring missed call from a number that changes only in the last two digits often signals an automated dialing system testing active lines or a low‑tech robocall setup. Since no voicemail is left, the caller likely isn’t trying to convey a message, just confirming the line is reachable. To protect yourself, let the call go to voicemail, block the prefix if the pattern persists, and consider registering with your national do‑not‑call list. Keep an eye on any unexpected charges and report suspicious activity to your carrier.
Each week at noon I receive a single missed call from a similar number with the last two digits altered, and no voicemail is left.
