A caller speaking Mandarin who abruptly hangs up when questioned about the prior call raises red flags for potential scams. This behavior is common in telemarketing or fraudulent schemes where agents avoid scrutiny. If you've received such calls from unfamiliar numbers, avoid sharing personal details and consider blocking the contact immediately. Report suspicious activity to your telecom provider or authorities to help track patterns. Enable call screening features on your phone for added protection against unwanted intrusions like this.
The caller was fluent in Mandarin; we conversed in that language, but the moment we asked the reason for his earlier call, he ended the conversation.
