They called again, asserting they were Spark top‑up with a voucher number, yet my phone flags it as Spam and doesn't recognize it as New Zealand's Spark telecom.

Ekspertvurdering
Ever wonder why you keep getting calls from a so‑called Spark? The pattern suggests a spoofed identity aimed at tricking users into sharing voucher codes or topping up accounts, a classic cost‑trap scheme. These calls often masquerade as legitimate telecom offers but lack official branding and may appear as spam in your phone logs. To protect yourself, avoid providing any personal or payment details, verify the caller through official channels, and consider blocking the number. Regularly review your phone’s spam filter settings and report suspicious calls to your carrier to help curb these fraudulent outreach attempts.
