During routine evening hours in New Zealand, calls from this number often emerge as automated alerts about a supposed rail trip payment in Australia, prompting recipients to press 1 or 2 without identifying the sender. This setup screams scam tactics, designed to hook you into interactive voice response traps that could rack up charges or harvest personal data. Hang up immediately—never engage with key prompts on unsolicited robocalls. Block the number via your phone settings, and report it to authorities like the NZ Do Not Call register or consumer protection agencies to curb further nuisances. Staying vigilant prevents fallout from these deceptive ploys.
