Imposter Constable Scam? - +64 21 191 7120 (021 191 7120)

A single report emerges of a call from an unknown number posing as a constable from Ashburton Police in New Zealand. Such impersonations raise red flags for potential scams, where fraudsters mimic authorities to extract personal details or money. Without more complaints, it's hard to confirm a pattern, but caution is key. Hang up immediately on unsolicited police calls—real officers don't demand info over the phone like this. Verify any claims by contacting the official Ashburton Police station directly through their verified website or directory. Report suspicious calls to authorities to protect others. Stay vigilant against scam tactics that exploit trust in law enforcement.
