Spoofed international numbers like this one are shockingly common in targeting UK residents with fake government calls. Scammers masquerading as Department of Work and Pensions officials often aim to extract personal data or payments. Evidence points to operations linked to Indian fraud rings exploiting telecom vulnerabilities in networks like Three. Hang up immediately if you receive such unsolicited calls—never share details. Report to Action Fraud or your carrier to help block these. Enable call screening apps for added protection, and verify any claims directly through official channels to stay safe from identity theft.
