It seems that the number +61488880299 is being used by scammers posing as Origin Energy. These scammers are sending text messages and making calls to claim that recipients owe money or that their electricity accounts are about to be closed. Many users have reported that the messages contain incorrect details, such as wrong names or addresses, and some even include links to pay bills. While some messages may seem official, they are often part of a sophisticated scam. If you receive a call or message from this number, do not click on any links or provide personal information.
