Expert Opinion
Like a wolf in sheep's clothing, a fake Vodafone call lures you into handing over your password. These brief rings followed by a sudden hang‑up are classic phishing tactics, often aimed at stealing personal data or selling bogus contracts. Answering such calls rarely helps; instead, let it go to voicemail and verify the request through official channels. Enable carrier‑level call blocking for suspicious numbers, and consider a third‑party spam filter. Never share passwords, PINs, or ZIP codes over the phone, especially when the caller pressures you. If you suspect abuse, report the number to your provider and to consumer protection agencies.
