Like a wolf in sheep's clothing, the call from +448082802784 can appear reassuring yet hide a threat. The majority of reports point to Santander using this number for genuine fraud‑prevention outreach, but scammers frequently mimic the same script, asking for full card details or birth dates. Keep any personal data to a minimum; verify the call by hanging up and dialing the official number on the back of your card or through the bank’s app. Ask for the caller’s name and reference number, and treat the interaction as a security check and verify independently before responding.

The call turned out to be Santander verifying a credit‑card payment. Because they played a recorded message, I grew wary and rang the bank on another number from a separate phone, confirming it was indeed Santander.

Unfavorable review given
This is definitely Santander. Do not ignore. It was an automatedd call but is genuine. I wasn’t asked to provide any bank details or anything suspicious. It was about four declined credit card transactions and asked for confirmation. While I’m cautious about everything, this was legitimate.
