PayPal scam calls – how to protect yourself! - +44 800 917 2779 (0800 917 2779)
概要 — +448009172779
専門家の見解
You’d be shocked to discover that the same spoofed PayPal number keeps popping up across dozens of complaints. These calls never come from official PayPal lines; the company only contacts users via email or its secure app. Never share your email, password, or card digits with anyone who phones you. If you’re unsure, hang up, log into your PayPal account directly, and verify any alerts. Add the number to your phone’s block list, report it to your carrier, and consider using a call‑filtering service. Stay vigilant, keep personal details private, and remember that legitimate businesses won’t demand sensitive information over an unsolicited call.

Actually, I don't have a PayPal account.
An Irish woman claimed to represent PayPal and asked for my email. I refused until she explained the reason, but she said she needed the email first. I suggested she email me instead, and she asked me to call PayPal directly, which I agreed to do. Do not provide any details to this person!

It wasn’t PayPal – I called them and they confirmed no one tried to reach me today and that they never ask for info over the phone, only via email or SMS. The call sounded very convincing.
Confirmed scam: not PayPal

The timing of these daily 8am calls, which started after I missed a PayPal credit payment, raises concerns that my information may have been sold to scammers
