The caller wanted to update my kitchen appliances, claiming to be from Domestic and general insurance, but I called the head office to verify and it was a scam
Telemarketing nuisance from Domestic & General – what to do - +44 800 497 0749 (0800 497 0749)

전문가 의견
Repeated attempts to contact households suggest a scripted telemarketing operation. Callers repeatedly ask for first‑line address or personal details, often hanging up if the response is not compliant. The pattern of silent calls, abrupt cut‑offs and aggressive sales pitches points to a nuisance strategy rather than genuine customer service. To protect yourself, never disclose personal details unless you have independently verified the caller’s identity. Use your phone’s blocking feature and register the number with the national spam‑list service. Report persistent harassment to your provider and, if you suspect fraud, alert Action Fraud. Regularly review any existing appliance insurance policies to avoid unnecessary renewals.
