Expertenmeinung
In the midst of a quiet evening in London, another report surfaces of unsolicited calls mimicking trusted brands. This instance involves callers posing as Amazon representatives, claiming suspicious account activity like attempted gift card purchases via text. Such tactics are hallmarks of phishing scams designed to extract personal details or prompt urgent actions. Recipients wisely blocked the number, a sound first step. To stay protected, always verify claims directly through official channels—never respond to unsolicited prompts. Enable two-factor authentication on accounts, and report incidents to Action Fraud. Awareness curbs these nuisances effectively.
