Мнение эксперта
Calls that say they’re from Direct Line and mention a car accident you never had are common. Such callbacks often aim to harvest personal details or payment information under the guise of a claim. Treat any unsolicited insurance enquiry with scepticism: hang up and independently verify the number on your policy documents or the official website. Never share sort codes, account numbers or identity data during the call. If the caller pressures you to act immediately, recognise it as a classic red flag. Report persistent numbers to the appropriate fraud‑prevention service and consider blocking them on your handset. Maintaining clear boundaries protects your data and reduces exposure to fraud.
