Mate, a bloke calling himself John from Green Enery rang me and started yammering about my loft. I told him to jog on, yet he kept blathering over me – proper irritating, cheers.

This number links to persistent scam calls pushing fake energy deals, mainly loft insulation. Callers like 'John' or 'Peter' from outfits such as Green Energy or Options ignore hang-ups and talk over you, often using spoofed lines for harassment. Evidence points to a VOIP setup for dodging blocks, with reports of repeated unwanted contacts. Hang up immediately on such pitches—never share details. Block the number via your phone settings or apps like Truecaller. If calls continue, log them and report to Action Fraud or Ofcom for action against these nuisances.

A nearby energy firm, just 350 miles distant, promises swift customer support!
The caller introduced himself as Peter, a local energy adviser from a firm called Options, pushing a loft insulation scam; I later received another call from ‘Peter’ on a different 0161 line, suggesting he was using a spoofed VOIP number.
A man named John claiming to be from green energy kept calling; I asked him to stop, but he talked over me. I told him to leave. He's called roughly twenty times, and I've now filed a police report.
