Opinione dell’esperto
Check the source of any unexpected call before sharing personal details. Calls claiming you have a PPI claim or offering checks for mould, damp or disrepair often aim to harvest personal data for unauthorised use. Verify the organisation by asking for a official reference and cross‑checking against known providers; genuine housing agencies will never ask for banking information on an unsolicited call. If the caller hangs up when pressed for transparency, treat the interaction as suspicious and block the number. Keep a record of the call, report it to the Information Commissioner’s Office and consider adding the number to a call‑blocking list.
