전문가 의견
Never share a verification code with anyone who calls you out of the blue. Calls from +441616948777 repeatedly deliver a spoken WhatsApp code, often late at night, trying to trick you into confirming a login on a device you never requested. Treat the call as a classic phishing attempt and hang up immediately. Do not call back, as the short‑ring‑and‑hang‑up pattern is designed to generate expensive return charges. Report the number to your carrier and block it on your phone. Keep your WhatsApp settings set to receive codes only via the official app or SMS, and enable two‑step verification for added protection.

Upon receiving three consecutive text messages purporting to be from "FACEBOOK" with verification codes for WhatsApp, it became clear that these messages were part of a phishing scam, as I do not use the platform. The subsequent calls, which were made five times, further solidified my suspicion, prompting me to investigate the number and ultimately block it.
WhatsApp me contactó con un mensaje de estafa, pidió datos bancarios bajo falsos pretextos.
