I received a pre-recorded message claiming to be from Revolut, requesting authorization to charge €80. It instructed me to press 1 if I didn't accept the charge before disconnecting.

Szakértői vélemény
An automated message claiming to be from Revolut demanding authorisation for an €80 charge, with instructions to press 1 if declining, followed by a sudden hang-up, points to a classic scam tactic. These calls impersonate trusted banks to trick people into interacting, potentially leading to account compromises or phishing. Hang up immediately on such calls—never press buttons or provide info. Verify any legitimate issues directly through the official Revolut app or website. Enable call blocking on your phone and report to authorities like the Garda Síochána in Ireland. Stay vigilant; scam calls like this prey on urgency.
