A dubious call from someone named Jacob, speaking with an accent and saying he was from Nvidia, tried to reach my team; none recognized him, and I suspect an attempt to capture audio for AI voice phishing.

A suspicious call from someone named Jacob, with an accent and claiming ties to NVidia, raises red flags especially when your team has no record of them. This sounds like a potential attempt to gather voice samples for AI-driven phishing scams, where recordings could mimic voices for fraudulent calls later. Hang up immediately on unsolicited requests for team access or personal details. Verify any legitimate contacts directly through official channels, like NVidia's website, never via the caller's number. Enable call screening on your phone to filter unknowns, and report to authorities if it persists—better safe than sorry with tech impersonations on the rise.
