Probably it’s a Directv‑related text line, not a mysterious scam. The few mentions of ordering movies point to a service‑notification number that Directv uses for order confirmations, while the lone claim of a scam seems more like a personal alarm than a consensus. If the texts are unexpected, verify the sender through your Directv account portal before clicking any links. Block the number if it repeatedly sends unsolicited offers, and report it to your carrier if charges appear on your bill. Keep your device’s security settings up‑to‑date and avoid sharing personal info via unknown texts. Directv alerts are usually safe, but stay alert for scam tactics and text messages that ask for money.
This number is undoubtedly a scam; it attempts to charge unspecified amounts to your phone and bank account, and claiming to be from Direct TV is false, as they do not contact customers via text with such numbers.
I can confirm that we were charged for a movie we ordered from Directv, and it appeared on my bill the very next day
