Expertenmeinung
Late evening on a Tuesday, a call from +1‑978‑444‑5700 identified itself as CCS and immediately asked for verification details. The caller never disclosed a company name or EIN, which is a red flag for any debt‑collection outreach. Never share personal information such as Social Security numbers, addresses, or banking data until you have received a written notice from the alleged creditor. Hang up, add the number to your phone’s block list, and report the incident to the FTC or your state consumer‑protection agency. Consider using a call‑filtering app and monitor your credit reports for unexpected activity.
