I've noticed that some delivery servises are trying to scam peopel by givng them empty boxes instead of the actual goods, and then trying to get them to pay for it.

Expertenmeinung
Earlier this week, a familiar pattern emerged: the number +1‑888‑280‑4331 is being spoofed to sound like Amazon customer service and to warn about a supposed $700‑plus purchase. Callers claim an order for an iPhone or a large charge and demand a verification code or a link to click. Amazon never initiates such requests by phone, never asks for passwords, and will not ask you to install software. If you receive a call like this, hang up immediately, verify the account status through the official Amazon app or website, and consider reporting the number to the FCC or your carrier. Blocking the number and enabling call‑screening can also reduce future nuisance.
