A call was received from a person claiming to work for a debt collection company, but they provided vague details and attempted to deceive by offering a reduced payment for a debt that had already been settled, becoming aggressive when questioned and eventually hanging up.

Both my wife and I receive identical calls. The agent asks which number contacted us, yet with auto‑dialer experience I know the system displays the dialed number and can query databases instantly. When I point out that they are the ones calling, the call is terminated. Clearly a phishing scam—block this number.
