I have received around 25 calls from this number on my cell phone, which appears to be from AT&T. Despite paying my bill online, I continue to receive calls, possibly due to delayed payment processing. I never answer unknown numbers, and shortly after these calls go to voicemail without a message, I receive another call from a toll-free 800 number.
It appears to be a scam when a call is received from an unknown or private number claiming to represent a company such as Boise Elec. company. Legitimate debt collectors are required to identify themselves accurately on caller ID.
When I answered a call from a number that claimed to be Boswell Electric, it turned out to be AT&T trying to collect a debt. This is a shady tactic, and I plan to report it to my family member who works in the attorney general's office.
When I answered, the caller ID displayed Boswell Electric Co., but it was actually an AT&T representative trying to discuss a bill, which I found to be a deceitful tactic.

I will not engage with these callers and demand that they cease contacting me.

Apparently, this is a legitimate call from AT&T regarding an overdue bill.
Whenever my payment is overdue by a few days, they initiate a barrage of calls, which continues relentlessly, despite my awareness of the due date and my long-standing customer relationship of approximately 20 years, during which I have received favorable deals, but their persistent calls become a nuisance when I miss the payment deadline by a brief period.

I answered a couple times at first, but never again. "AT&T calling to..." I have added (800) 947-5096 to my Contact List. First Name: "AT&T SPAM" Ringtone: "Duck" (quack, quack...) So, when they call, I get a visual and audible "SPAM ALERT"
