Avoid utility scams: tips for Xcel Energy callers? - +1 800-895-4999 ((800) 895-4999)
概要 — +18008954999
専門家の見解
Verify the number against Xcel Energy’s official toll‑free line before you respond. Many callers use the same 800‑895‑4999 format to deliver outage updates, bill reminders, or meter notices, but scammers often spoof it to demand payment or threaten disconnection. Keep a record of the caller’s name, purpose, and any reference numbers, then log into your Xcel account or call the known customer‑service line to confirm. Never share credit‑card details or prepaid‑card numbers over an unsolicited call. Use call verification tools or your phone’s built‑in spam filter, and block numbers that repeatedly push urgent payment requests. Staying cautious protects your personal data and prevents fraud.
