On 9/21/2024, we received a call claiming someone had applied for a credit card in another state, and the caller had access to our credit card information, attempting to persuade us to take advantage of debt elimination due to the FCRA, but their persistence and argumentativeness were suspicious, leading us to cancel and reissue our credit cards.
When a caller claimed they could eliminate $15,000 in debt but failed to explain the associated charges, it became clear that this was a scam, especially after they instructed me to ignore bank statements and correspondence.
