Avis d’expert
Imagine getting a call from an unknown number that hangs up before you can speak. Those brief, silent rings are a classic pattern for aggressive fundraising or spam operations that rely on persistence rather than a clear message. If you don’t recognize the caller, let it go to voicemail and review the number later. Register the line with the national Do‑Not‑Call list, use call‑blocking apps, and never share personal or financial details with someone who cannot identify a legitimate organization. When a caller claims to represent a charity, ask for a written request and verify the nonprofit through official channels before considering any donation.

I receive daily calls, but never answer.
They called to request a donation, asking for $200. I could only manage $50, and I expected a polite thank‑you for any amount. Instead they pushed for $100. I declined and chose another charity. After multiple callbacks, I blocked the number.

On Feb. 27,2019, a call was recieved claiming to be regarding a Visa account, stating that due to being a valued customer, no charge fees would be applied, all that was required was to press 1, however, when 2 was pressed, an East Indian man appeared, inquiring about Visa or master card details, but since cash is used instead of credit cards, he was left speechless and hung up.
