Watch out for calls from this number that claim to cut your electric bill with government incentives. Most reports describe a smooth‑talking telemarketer pushing a solar‑energy or electricity‑savings scheme, often citing a fake Energy Solutions brand. These calls rarely leave a message and ignore requests to be removed from the list, violating DNC rules. If you answer, do not share personal or payment info, and hang up immediately. Add the number to your phone’s block list, report it to the FCC’s spam‑call portal, and consider a call‑blocking app. Stay skeptical of unsolicited offers that sound too good to be scam.
It may be beneficial to review the list of exempt callers who are not required to comply with the DNC regulations
Critics of the DNC list should reconsider their stance by comparing the number of calls from legitimate companies to the abundance of scam companies found on websites like 800 notes.
It seems that such actions may actually increase the volume of scam calls received.
It seems the do not call list has little effect on scammers, who may even increase their calls; blocking unknown numbers that leave no message is recommended
Scammers dont care about the law, they just dont, they will keep calling even if you are on the DNC list, there crooks

On July 18, 2016, at 4:24 pm, a call was received from 407-494-3283, displaying OUT OF AREA on the caller ID. The caller did not leave a message, prompting me to block this number thanks to the warning from 800notes.
Despite being on the no-call list, this number had the audacity to call my home phone without leaving a message, which is utterly frustrating.
This appears to be a scam related to solar energy
Upon answering, the caller seemed taken aback that someone picked up, and promptly hung up
Scammers disregard the Do Not Call list as they are lawbreakers, thus it's ineffective in blocking their calls; instead, blocking and ignoring their calls is the best course of action.
I get constant calls from this number, and I'm beign rude, I tell them I'm on the do not call list, but aparently the do not call list is usless now!
