Is This Truecaller Scam Trying to Steal Your Data? - +1 312-800-0054 ((312) 800-0054)

Opinión del experto
Looks like a classic phishing scam masquerading as a legitimate service. The caller claims to need personal data—SSA number, birthday, burial insurance info—and then pushes a link to “update” a Truecaller app, which is a known vector for credential harvesting. Never click unsolicited links or share sensitive details, especially when the request comes from an unknown number. Verify any request through official channels, block the number, and report it to your phone carrier and the Truecaller support team. Keep your device’s OS and apps updated to reduce vulnerability.
