If you keep getting calls from +12125013400, you’re most likely dealing with a persistent fundraising telemarketer posing as the Metropolitan Opera. These calls usually come without a voicemail and can show up at dinner time or early morning, making them especially annoying. The best move is to don’t engage – hanging up or saying "yes" can only confirm your number is active. Register the number on the national Do‑Not‑Call list, use your phone’s block feature, and consider a third‑party call‑blocking app. If you’re a donor, contact the Met directly through their official website to request removal from their outreach list.

The timing of these calls, such as Sunday evening at 5 PM or Monday morning at 7:30, seems unusual and may indicate a scam.
Today at 02:20 PM, I missed a call from (212) 501-3400 in New York, NY, and they didnt leave a message, now I'm reconsiddering my donations.
They regulary call my cell phone during dinnertime, but never leave a message, supposedly they are from Metropolitan Opera Customer Service, which I found suprising since I only attended one event this fall

Despite never getting an answer, they consistently keep calling, which raises the question of why they fail to leave a message, don't they know it's more effective?
I've also noticed the same issue, i'm a member and donor, the call came in as out of area, the woman i spoke to apoligized and said they would remove my name from the call list
As a MET guild member and donor, I find the history of their fundraising calls to be quite interesting, and it's worth exploring how they've evolved over time.
This number is not associated with The Met Opera's official contact information, suggesting it may be an external or unauthorized line
The caller was reportedly from the Metropolitan Opera, although the purpose of the call remains unclear; as a fan of the Met, I hope it wasn't an important matter.
Somebody woke us up at 6:30 am and left no message, the number traces back to the Metropolitan Opera, thats weird.
