I just want to share that you dont have to feel uncomftable if you only hear background noises or breathing on the phone. Its not a person calling - the call is being made by a machine that dials multiple numbers at the same time. When someone picks up, the salesperson is connected and recieves personal info via computer. So, the salesperson is just waiting for a call to start in their headset, they arent actualli dialing the numbers. And somtimes there is a glitch, so the salesperson doesnt hear anything. Thats how it worked when i was a telemarketer
