Мнение эксперта
Just this morning the 0800 955 544 number has been popping up on many mobiles, often claiming to be TalkTalk support or marketing. The pattern of vague greetings, background chatter and no clear reference to your account points to a typical telemarketing or spoof call. To keep your details safe, never confirm personal data unless you’ve initiated the contact through the official TalkTalk website or app. Use your phone’s call‑blocking feature or a third‑party blocker, and register the number with the Phone Care whitelist. Report persistent harassment to Ofcom and, if you suspect fraud, alert TalkTalk’s abuse team. A quick check can stop a nuisance call before it escalates.

I have no clue why TalkTalk is contacting me on a number they do not service and that I don’t remember giving them.

Genuine contract renewal follow-up, albeit annoyingly soon
Why is TalkTalk calling my mobile three times in three days if I already have their landline? It feels harassing.

My phone rang once and then the caller hung up.
He claimed to represent TalkTalk. My contract ended two years ago, and now I’m paying more since I’m out of contract. He insisted the new deal could only be provided over the phone. I prefer dealing through a traceable email. Goodbye.
