Never share personal data such as account numbers, passwords or dates of birth over the phone unless you have independently verified the caller. Hang up, check the official Barclays app or website, and contact the bank using the number on your card or statement. Report the number to your phone provider and to the FCA or Action Fraud. Keep a log of the call, block the caller, and regularly review your account for unauthorised activity.
