The analysis of the comments reveals a mix of opinions regarding the caller's identity and purpose. However, upon closer examination, it appears that the caller is likely to be the Tesco Bank fraud department, attempting to contact customers about suspicious activity on their accounts. Some customers have reported receiving automated calls and texts from this number, which has led to concerns about scams. Nevertheless, many customers have confirmed that the calls are genuine by contacting Tesco Bank using the number on the back of their card. Fraudulent service from Tesco
Following a call from this number, which purported to be from the Tesco Card Fraud Department, I took the precaution of contacting Tesco directly using the number on the back of my card, verifying that they had indeed detected and blocked a fraudulent transaction attempt, and a new card is being issued.

I received a genuine automated call from Tesco's fraud department, but to verify its legitimacy, I contacted the number on my credit card and was able to confirm the issue
This is Tesco's fraud line checking on card transactions. It was an automated message, so I called back using the number on the back of my credit card. After some security questions, I found out someone tried to use my card. Glad I checked.
This number belongs to Tesco's Fraud department.
Potential fraudulent activity was identified by Tesco Bank on our credit card. The same number called both our mobile and landline, requesting £0.00 for a subscription to the NY Times. Clearly a scam attempt.
Claimed to be Tesco Bank about a fraudulent credit card transaction.
