Názor odborníka
Always verify unsolicited calls claiming to represent broadband providers like TalkTalk by hanging up and contacting the company directly through their official channels. These callers often spoof legitimate numbers to extract personal details such as addresses, emails, or bank codes under the guise of service confirmations or discounts. Red flags include vague order references, requests for sensitive information, or pressure to continue a supposed transaction you never initiated. Block the number immediately and report to Action Fraud to curb such persistent attempts. Legitimate firms rarely cold call for account verification; if in doubt, initiate contact yourself to stay safe from phishing scams and identity theft.
