A man with an Indian accent claimed I had won a discount card from the Postcode Lottery and would send it once they verified my identity. I told him I wouldn't confirm anything over the phone and suggested they mail the card if I really won. He wished me a good day and hung up. I doubt I’ll ever receive the card.

It seems like the number +442039416789 is a hotbed of scammers and nuisance callers. Most users report calls claiming to be from the Postcode Lottery or insurance companies, offering dubious prizes or PPI claims. The callers often have poor English and are persistent, asking for personal and banking details. Some calls are just missed or hang up immediately, while others use recorded messages to keep you on the line. If you receive a call from this number, it’s best to hang up and report it. Don’t give out any personal information, and be wary of unsolicited calls offering prizes or claims. Stay vigilant and block the number if it persists.
