専門家の見解
These calls are almost certainly a PPI‑related scam, repeatedly ringing to harass and harvest personal data. The pattern – daily unanswered rings, prerecorded messages, and threats of premium‑rate charges – matches typical illegitimate claim‑adjuster operations. The safest route is to block the number on both mobile and landline, add it to your handset’s spam filter, and report it to the OFCOM Spam‑Calls Register. Never callback a mystery number, and avoid supplying any details to unknown agents. Use a reputable call‑blocking app, and consider filing a complaint with Action Fraud if you suspect identity theft.

The number 01916719936 called me, but I didn't pick up; it appeared as a local number 01438385750. These companies are employing deceptive tactics, acquiring local numbers to make it seem like they’re calling from the area. The issue is, I receive a text message for missed calls that shows the actual number.

They keep calling me too, with a prerecorded message and dialling over and over. I've blocked them now, I use the Sophos Security app now and added their number to the spam settings. There are a few security apps like that that are handy if they're ringing your mobile.
