Looks like you’re dealing with a classic telemarketing nuisance that masquerades as everything from loft insulation offers to bogus benefit cheques. The calls are mostly silent or end after a few seconds, a tactic used to slip past call‑blocking filters. Never give out personal details, especially if the caller can’t identify a legitimate company. If the number keeps popping up, add it to your phone’s block list and report it to the phone‑spam watchdog (e.g., Ofcom). Consider using a reputable call‑screening app and ask your provider to flag the number as fraudulent. Staying sceptical is your best defence.
