The caller's approach is often deceptive, claiming that the warranty on the windows has expired or is about to expire, and that they need to send someone to inspect the windows. A very courteous young man offered to inspect our windows, stating they are over 10 years old and out of warranty, which is indeed accurate. He insisted he wasn't selling anything, just providing a free inspection that is not associated with any double glazing companies. If it's genuinely free and they aren't selling, how do they make money? If it appears too good to be true, it likely is!
