Ever wondered why you keep receiving late‑night calls that read out a WhatsApp verification code? The pattern points to a phishing scam that tries to hijack your account by tricking you into sharing the code. Never disclose verification codes to anyone who calls you, even if the voice sounds official. Block the number, report the incident to your carrier, and consider enabling two‑step verification within the app. Keep an eye on unexpected SMS messages and avoid clicking unknown links. If you suspect unauthorized access, reset your WhatsApp PIN and alert the service provider immediately.
