AIB scam call – what to watch out for! - +353 1 771 4479 ((01) 771 4479)

Earlier today, a sudden call from +35317714479 left several people uneasy. Most recipients described the caller as claiming to represent AIB and demanding personal or card details before revealing any purpose. The pattern of refusing identification and insisting on security questions is a classic red flag for phishing. Always confirm the caller’s identity by hanging up and dialing the official bank number from a trusted source. Never share sensitive information over unsolicited calls, and consider reporting persistent or threatening calls to the national consumer protection agency. Using call‑blocking tools and keeping a log of suspicious numbers can further reduce risk.
