Názor odborníka
Recent posts reveal a steady stream of complaints about the 1‑888‑228‑7783 number being used in unsolicited PIN‑change emails that claim to be from Equifax. Most commenters label the outreach as phishing or spam, noting misspellings, generic language, and a lack of official branding on the call script. The consensus points to a fraudulent operation rather than an authorized Equifax hotline. If you receive a similar notice, verify the sender’s email address, avoid clicking links, and contact Equifax only through the numbers listed on their official website. Report suspicious calls to your carrier and the FTC to help curb abuse.
