Γνώμη ειδικού
?Ever wondered why that unknown number keeps buzzing your phone? The pattern points to a debt collector—most callers identify themselves as Northland Group, a known collection agency. First, never share personal or financial details over the phone. Request a written validation of the debt within 5 business days, as required by the FDCPA. If the call is harassing or the collector can’t verify the debt, hang up and log the incident. Report persistent offenses to the FTC and consider a call‑blocking service or your carrier’s spam filter. Keeping records and staying firm can stop the nuisance and protect your rights.

I have submited a report to the U.S. Federal Trade Commision at the website
Filing a report with the Federal Trade Commission is advisable for those receiving harassing calls, as this agency effectively addresses such issues, and once a report is filed, these unwanted calls typically cease.
After missing a call, I returned it and spoke with a young man from the Northland Group, who apologized and explained they were trying to reach a previous owner of my number, which I've had for over two years.
Politeness was met with aggression when I answered a call from this number, which was supposedly looking for my brother. The person on the other end became belligerent, and I wish there was a way to hold such individuals accountable. It's appalling that they are still employed.
