Turns out the calls from +18662801853 are most likely spoofed scammers posing as American Express. They use a familiar brand to create urgency and harvest personal data, often asking for relatives' names or payment info. Because the displayed number can be faked, the real owner is rarely reachable, and the backup numbers they give usually lead to unrelated services or malware sites. If you receive a voicemail or a live call, verify by calling the official AMEX customer‑service number on the back of your card, not the number shown. Block the caller, report it to your carrier, and consider adding the line to a do‑not‑call list. Use caller ID spoof‑detection apps and never share personal or financial details over unsolicited calls.
